Are you looking for a way to keep your child active and entertained this summer? How about having them join us for our Playground Program? We will have two college-aged leaders at each of our thirteen sites ready to create an interactive and enjoyable summer for your child!
Youth ages 6-13 are welcome to attend on a drop-in basis and participate in sports, games, special events, trips, STEM activities, creative crafts and much more. The more the merrier, so be sure to tell your friends! There are also exciting special events planned throughout the summer for our playground participants. These include Ice Cream Social Night, Erb Pool Play Day, Children’s Week activities, Playground Fair, Breakfast in the Park, Kickball Tournament, the Amazing Race and much, much more!
Pre-registration will be required for the 2021 program!

Appleton Parks and Recreation is proud to offer our VIP (Volunteer in Parks) Junior Leader Program. Make the most of your summer by becoming a Junior Leader to our summer playground program. This program is intended to offer young adults who are 14 years of age and older an opportunity to gain both experience and knowledge of the skills it takes to become a playground leader. VIP – Junior Leaders will assist the Playground Leaders in leading games, helping with crafts and setting a positive example for younger children. The program runs from June 14 – August 12. Responsible teens must commit to volunteering a minimum of 6 hours per week. Applications will be accepted starting March 1st at www.appletonparkandrec.org. Application deadline is May 14, 2021. Please note: each playground site is limited to two Junior Leaders.
