Have you always wanted to learn to speak Spanish? Do you speak some Spanish but would like to learn more? Our Spanish classes have different levels so you have opportunity for introduction to the language and expansion of your Spanish vocabulary.
Continue expanding your Spanish vocabulary by registering for the same time slot each session. Please look at the class descriptions and chose the class that best fits your needs. If you are not sure where to start, don’t worry! Our instructor will assess your skill level and place you in the proper level class if necessary during the first week of class.
Class Levels
Spanish Beginner I: This class is for anyone who has never taken Spanish or may have taken Spanish a long time ago. Instruction in conversation, written and audio/visual exercises. Vocabulary topics include Greetings/Goodbyes, Subject Pronouns, Numbers, Family Members, Colors, and Restaurant/Foods. Introduction of Present Tense, Ser and Estar, and Adjective Agreement.
Spanish Beginner II: This class is for anyone who has taken 1 to 2 years of Spanish prior. Instruction in conversation and written exercises. Review of Regular Present Tense, Ser and Estar, and Vocabulary. Introduction of Irregular and Stem Changing Present Tense Verbs plus New Vocabulary including Airport and about the Home.
Spanish Intermediate: This class is for anyone who has taken 3 to 4 years of Spanish prior. Instruction in conversation and written exercises. Review of Present Tense and Vocabulary. Introduction of Hacer and Tener Expressions, Demonstratives, Possesives, and Direct Object Pronouns. New Vocabulary Topics Hotel and Birthday Party.
Spanish Advanced: This class is for anyone with 5+ years Spanish prior. Instruction in conversation and written exercises. Review of Present Tense and Vocabulary. Introduction of Reflexives, Indirect Object Pronouns, Gustar plus Preterite and Imperfect Tenses. New Vocabulary Topics Supermarket and Banking.
Spanish Conversation: This class is for anyone with Spanish prior. Instruction in conversation and possible written and video exercises. Want to improve your Spanish speaking skills? In class we will speak Spanish in directed and spontaneous dialogues. We will use weekly Topics and Spanish Vocabulary to speak and listen to Spanish in class.
