Camp APRD offers more than your traditional summer camp.  Our camp is outside during the prime summer months, allowing your child the opportunity to canoe, fish and even catch frogs!  We focus on making your child feel welcome and building their self-esteem, by playing sports at one of our ball diamonds or teaching them archery.

Campers will also check out the Scheig Center for a nature break, have mini Zumba® classes, learn fun facts with the Watershed Alliance, hang out with the City’s own fire, police and forestry departments….who doesn’t want to learn to climb a tree?

Weekly activities include going ice skating at Appleton Family Ice Center, visiting one of our City’s pools, and a weekly field trip (built into the cost of the camp, no hidden fees!).

Each week has a theme with corresponding  activities.  Campers will also check out the Scheig Center for a story nature walk, enjoy some kid friendly fitness classes, and learn about safety and emergency preparedness from at Appleton Fire, Police and Public Health departments.

Guidelines: Participants should bring a bag lunch and water bottle each day.  Field trips and weekly activities are subject to change based on availability.
