It’s the 4th Annual GREAT HOLIDAY DASH! Let’s celebrate the holidays with a little competition and a lot of FUN! Get your team together for a GREAT Holiday road rally that will have you “dashing” through Appleton to earn points based on solving clues and completing a variety of picture, video and geotag missions.
Brought to you by Appleton Parks and Recreation and Fox Communities Credit Union, this timed event will have you racking your brain, searching, dancing, singing, and most of all LAUGHING! Clues will be provided through a mobile app so we can track all the action while complying with safety guidelines.
DATE: Saturday, December 2, 2023
TIME: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
FEES (PER TEAM): $30 resident/$35 non-resident
TEAM REQUIREMENTS: Teams can be groups of 2-6 people. Families, teens and adults can all get involved. Teams must have a smartphone to access the game through the GooseChase App. Each team must also have a driver with a valid driver’s license. All team members MUST stay together and submit answers from the same device throughout the event. (You are not allowed to split up your team to divide and conquer, but we understand if you need to take separate cars).
LOCATION: Various locations throughout Appleton
HOW IT WORKS: The Dash will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. when the missions will automatically load in the GooseChase app. Each mission will have a point value attached to it. Your team will have 3 hours to complete and submit as many missions as possible. Make sure to check your standings on the app’s leaderboard as you go.
PRIZES: The 5 teams with the most points will receive cash prizes!!
BONUS POINTS: Make sure to bring your Holiday Spirit! Teams will be awarded bonus points for the most creative and festive competitors. We encourage you to wear your ugly sweaters, matching Christmas pajamas, or any other holiday attire/costumes you may have. Also energy and excitement portrayed in your submissions can earn your team bonus points as well!
REGISTRATION: Only one person from the team needs to register. Be prepared to enter a team name during registration. More details on the app and specific games rules will be sent to the team via email the week of the event. Please make sure to verify the email address on your account when registering the team.
