Hello! My name is Miss Courtney and I’m so excited to be joining the Appletots Learning Center through Appleton Parks and Recreation. I have worked with children of all ages in many different settings in my 20+ years as an educator. Through these varied experiences I’ve learned how important it is to provide children and families a safe, imaginative place to be curious, to interact with peers, to play and to grow. I look forward to being a guide on your child’s developmental journey! On a personal note, my family and I have been longtime Appleton residents and have often benefited from the terrific programming of Park and Rec. I enjoy nature walks, exploring new places, excellent chocolate and anything Disney!
Greetings families! My name is Miss Joan, and I am delighted to be an instructor for the Appletots Learning Center. I consider it both a joy and an honor to share fun and meaningful experiences with your child. I have taught a wide variety of age groups, but my heart is drawn to the preschool setting because of the wonder and growth that occurs during this special time. I have four children of my own, and do I understand the ups and downs of daily life. Taking that first step and getting kids ready for a class can be an event in itself! However, having that time away from home, seeing new faces and surroundings, and perhaps even talking to other parents in the same situation can be worthwhile for the entire family. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, biking around town, and being crafty with my kids! Honest confession: I have way too many coloring books. It is my guilty pleasure. I have loved calling Appleton my home for the last 24 years. I look forward to meeting you and your child!
I have worked at the Appleton Parks and Recreation Department for 20 years. I enjoy working with the preschool programs as well as teach fitness classes. Not many people can say they truly love their job; however, I can. I also work as a Para-Professional at Houdini Elementary School and coach Cross Country and Track and Field at Appleton West High School. Working and helping people is my passion and I am blessed to be able to do it.
