Adult Bus Trips


At Appleton Parks and Recreation, our mission is to build communities and enrich lives where we live, work and play. A program that reaches out to adults in our community is the following 2017 bus trips, focusing on providing an enjoyable and fun experience for participants. Transportation for these trips are in a deluxe motorcoach with a restroom. You can sit back and relax without the worry of traffic, parking and trip details. Trips are designed for a variety of interests and we hope you can join us on one or more of the following adventures! Madison Trip- Saturday, August 12

Door County Fall Trip-Friday, Oct. 13

Chicago Trip- Saturday, November 11

Our luxury coach bus will leave Facilities and Grounds Building at 6 a.m., arrive in Madison around 8 a.m. Spend the day touring the State Capitol (free tours), home of the famous Madison Farmers Market, the largest producer-only farmers market in the country. All items are produced by the members behind the tables.

Amazing restaurants, shopping, museums and more! Our coach bus will leave Madison at 4 p.m. and return to Appleton around 6 p.m.

Our luxury coach bus will leave the Facilities and Grounds Building at 6:30 a.m.  Enjoy all the lovely fall colors as we stop at three of the best places to stop in Door County. The bus will first stop in Sister Bay, complete with a beautiful marina and breathtaking shoreline, delectable restaurants for every budget and palate, opportunities for shopping and outdoor recreation. Within the span of three square miles, visitors enjoy a lifestyle unique to the northern end of the Door Peninsula.

Then the coach bus will stop in Fish Creek, with hundreds of miles of Niagara Escarpment shoreline and dynamic, winding trails reveal new adventures at every turn. Visit Fish Creek, Door County's natural playground, ready to show you your next great outdoor adventure. Rent a kayak, boat or bicycle, take a tour or simply stroll through the beautiful Peninsula State Park.

Our final stop will be in Egg Harbor, that boasts a breathtaking expanse of sky that mirrors the azure waters below. The allure of golf courses, award-winning perrforming arts, renowned galleries & shops, delectable eateres and pampering accommodations has made Egg Harbor, Door County, a one-of-a-kind escape. The bus will return to Appleton around 6 p.m.

Our luxury coach bus will leave the Facilities and Grounds Building at 6 a.m. Enjoy a day together of "shop till you drop", or visiting museums/galleries, or just taking in the excitement on the "Magnificent Mile" in Chicago. Finish up that final holiday shopping at such famous stores as Nieman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Disney Store and American Girl. However you plan to spend your day, Michigan Avenue is always full of excitement. The coach bus will depart from Chicago at 6 p.m. and arrive back at the Facilities and Grounds Building around 10 p.m.
