SL adult program

"Annuals and Perennials:  What Do I Choose?"

It's a wonderful time of the year to visit nurseries and garden supply stores!  But what is the difference between annuals and perennials?  Which do I choose?  Why one over another?  Sunlight?  Shade? Soil?  Join this discussion and have your questions answered! There will be time to ask your questions so you can choose with confidence the right plant for the right place in your garden!

"Bringing It Home:  Garden Landscape Ideas from Europe and America"

Come to this presentation that explains how plants and good design can bring creativity, peace and happiness into your life. Steve will share ideas from his travels that he has personally adapted into his own Appleton garden. You are sure to find an idea or two that will inspire you to take your garden to the next level! Steve will be available after the presentation to answer any garden design questions.

Kids and Stepping Stones Workshop

Looking for the perfect gift for Father's Day? This is a great opportunity for an adult to bring a child to create a unique, one of a kind stepping stone or two to take home!  If you have them, bring any memorabilia like shells, stones, glass beads, leaves, etc.  All other supplies will be provided.  Wear appropriate clothing and be prepared to get creative!  To take your treasure home, bring a cookie sheet or box to carry home the stones.

Colorful Cement Leaves Workshop

At this workshop you will explore the process of creating a beautiful cement leaf for your outdoors garden or for your indoor home d├ęcor. Steve has been making these leaves for about 8 years and shows and sells his leaves at various garden craft shows. He will provide all materials so you will be able to create your own treasure. Leaves will need to cure but will be ready for pickup at the end of the week.  Instruction will be given on how to add your own color and personality to your leaf once you bring it home.  Bring rubber gloves to protect your hands and wear appropriate clothing.
